Invasive Plants Association of Wisconsin (IPAW) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote better stewardship of the natural resources of Wisconsin by advancing the understanding of invasive plants and encouraging the control of their spread. IPAW’s main goals in achieving this mission are geared toward being an umbrella organization for Cooperative Invasive Species Management Areas (CISMAs) while creating a effective way in which to reach legislators to voice the concerns about invasive species control. Although IPAW is Wisconsin-based, we serve the entire Upper Midwest. IPAW has approximately 200 members. These members include researchers, foresters, landscapers, horticulturalists, agronomists, prairie restorationists, aquatic ecologists, and concerned citizens. Our members come from nearly every academic discipline and many different public, private, and nonprofit institutions.
